Pertaining directly to my personal transition and identity.

Oh, Kennesaw

I got one of the bigger surprises that I’ve gotten in a long time just a little while ago. During my morning reading, I got an e-mail from Kennesaw State University at my former-name e-mail address I set up a few years ago. It was a request for me, as a former KSU [...]

For My Own Recollection

I have an appointment with the doctor on 2 December at 10:00 in the morning.  The office visit is $65.  I need to bring the results of more lab work in when I go. I called in this morning to have my prescription refilled.  I got a call back from a nurse named Sarah telling me that [...]

HRT Recount

Okay, I don’t know what’s going on. I was counting what few pills I have left for HRT so I know when to go back to the pharmacy. Once again, for the second month in a row, I’ve ended up with way less spironolactone leftover than estradiol. So the question is, why? Possible conclusions: I’m [...]

Mysteries

When I woke up on Wednesday, I discovered Horrifying and Embarrassing Medical Problem. I shall call this HEMP hereafter. Some of you know what HEMP is. If you don’t, you can ask, but I’m not publishing it here. By yesterday, the problem did seem to go away, as far as I know, but for [...]

Name

I’m not using my legal name at work anymore. This short-lived legal name use is mostly due to having a few people know my name as I was coming in, but it’s seriously silly to keep it up and spread it, especially if I’m going to cringe every time I hear it. I started introducing myself [...]

Suntrust on Prince

So there’s this interesting little Suntrust bank branch on Prince Avenue close to where I live now. I’d seen this place before from the road, but I didn’t realize that it was a normal branch because it’s a very large plantation-style home set way back from the road inside a large, well landscaped yard full [...]

Epic E-mail

When I was in the shower this morning, it occurred to me to think that, while I was interested in opening a dialogue with my mom about transsexuality, how much communicating had I ever done with her about it? Specifically, I actually started this by wondering if she had ever heard about the moment I [...]

Tranniversary!

It just so happens, by coincidence, that next Saturday is both the day of my tranniversary (one full year on HRT) and the day that Luke and I have set for looking at the house we’re possibly leasing later this month. I’m so happy he’s going to be around for the tranniversary, and something great [...]

Eleven Months on HRT

I very rarely reference the ongoing effects of HRT anymore. Here's a quick recap of what's going on.

Job Beginning and Lab Work

Last night, after the [redacted], Shawna helped me go by and get the lab results of my blood work out of Ethan's mailbox, which had arrived. I was pretty thrilled to see the actual results. Everything was as normal, with respect to normal female reference ranges for the results, as they could be; I could have done no better if I'd hand-picked my numbers.
